The Moms Rewriting What Home Means Across Europe
Some women move abroad chasing a dream. Others arrive seeking safety, better opportunities for their children, or simply a slower, more intentional life. But for mothers, relocating can be both exhilarating and isolating – the adventure of a lifetime wrapped in endless logistics, cultural nuances, and moments of quiet loneliness.
That’s where Mother Euro comes in.

The Village Behind the Name
Mother Euro is a collective of English-speaking mothers across Europe, created to support and empower women through every stage of moving abroad and navigating mindful motherhood. It blends practical relocation guidance with emotional support, helping members settle into new lives with confidence and joy.
Founded by Emily San Jose and Maggie Gavilán – two mothers who built fulfilling lives in Europe and wanted to create a space for others on the same journey . Mother Euro offers far more than the standard relocation service.
Yes, they can connect you with trusted immigration lawyers, real estate agents, education consultants, and health insurance experts. But they also offer something harder to find: a village. A place where mothers can be understood without explanation, share cross-cultural parenting insights, and form genuine friendships.
The community gathers in curated WhatsApp groups, local meetups, and virtual events, exchanging everything from advice on school systems to where to find the best iced coffee in town. Whether you’re brand-new to Europe or have been here for years, Mother Euro is designed to help you feel grounded, supported, and seen.

A Growing Community of Hubs
What started as a single community has grown into a network of local hubs rooted in some of Europe’s most vibrant cities. Madrid and Barcelona were the first homes of Mother Euro – places where the founders themselves put down roots and began gathering women who needed each other.
In December 2025, Mallorca joined the fold, bringing the community to the sun-drenched islands. And in February 2026, Sevilla opened its doors, expanding Mother Euro into the heart of Andalucía.
Each hub is its own village – shaped by the city it calls home, the women who show up, and the shared experience of building a life somewhere beautifully unfamiliar. The network is growing steadily, and new hubs are always on the horizon.

Why It Matters
Motherhood abroad can be lonely. The everyday things – navigating a doctor’s visit in another language, choosing schools, balancing old traditions with new ones – are magnified when you’re doing them without your family close by.
Mother Euro reminds women they’re not alone. It’s about feeling understood without having to explain. It’s about sharing cross-cultural parenting insights, having a safe space to vent and celebrate, and building a support system strong enough to catch you when the juggling act feels overwhelming.
“We’re not just a relocation service. We’re a village. We want to build each other up.” – Maggie Gavilán, Co-Founder
