Festes de la Mare de Déu del Carme 2026 – Cala Bona
One of Cala Bona’s most cherished summer traditions returns as the seaside town celebrates the Festes de la Mare de Déu del Carme, patron saint of fishermen, with a week of family-friendly activities, live music, local traditions and maritime celebrations.
From 9–16 July 2026, the harbour and promenade come alive with beach parties, traditional Mallorcan culture, artisan markets, outdoor dining, children’s entertainment and sporting activities, culminating in the much-loved Processó Marítima and fireworks display on the feast day of 16 July.
Festival Highlights
9 July – Cala Bona Beach Party
Kick off the festivities with an evening beach party on Cala Bona’s accessible beach.
10 July
Enjoy a lively Batubanda and Xeremiers parade along the promenade, a traditional Mallorcan folk dance performance by Agrupació Folklòrica Sa Revetla, and the Festa de la Confraria de Pescadors, celebrating Cala Bona’s fishing heritage.
11 July
Browse the Fironet Night Artisan Market, watch a traditional slingshot competition by the sea, and join the popular Fideuà Dinner & Verbena at the fishermen’s harbour, featuring live music and a communal outdoor dinner.
12 July
Start the day with a sunrise yoga session by the sea, then spend the evening exploring the artisan market, children’s entertainment, and an open Ball de Bot folk dancing evening with the group Esclafits i Castanyetes.
13 July
Take part in a family-friendly bicycle ride along the coast, suitable for all ages.
16 July – Mare de Déu del Carme
The festival reaches its emotional finale with the Solemn Mass at the fishermen’s harbour, followed by the traditional Maritime Procession honouring the patron saint as decorated boats accompany the Virgin across the bay. The celebrations conclude with a spectacular fireworks display over Cala Bona harbour. ✨
