Festes d’Estiu de Valldemossa 2026
Summer in Valldemossa is a celebration of tradition, community and Mallorcan culture. From 17 July to 24 August, the village hosts three distinct festivals that honour its patron saints and maritime heritage, transforming its picturesque streets, squares and coastline into the setting for weeks of music, celebrations and centuries-old traditions.
The programme begins with the Festes de La Beata (17–28 July), dedicated to Santa Catalina Tomàs, Mallorca’s only native saint and home to the spectacular Carro Triomfal. The celebrations continue with the seaside Festes de Sa Marina (11–16 August) before concluding with the Festes de Sant Bartomeu (19–24 August), celebrating Valldemossa’s patron saint.

Festes de La Beata 2026 – Valldemossa
One of Mallorca’s most beloved traditional celebrations returns to Valldemossa from 17–28 July. Dedicated to Santa Catalina Tomàs – Mallorca’s only native saint – the Festes de La Beata transform the picturesque mountain village into a vibrant celebration of local culture, faith, music and community.
Spanning almost two weeks, the programme offers something for everyone. Festivities begin with a theatre performance before the official opening weekend, featuring the Pregó (opening proclamation), the presentation of the Hereva and Dames d’Honor, and a lively Revetlla in Plaça de Cartoixa with live music, DJs and dancing into the early hours.
Throughout the week, visitors can enjoy traditional cercaviles through the village streets, Ball de Bot workshops and folk dancing, children’s afternoons with water games and inflatables, outdoor cinema, cultural treasure hunts, open-air neighbourhood dinners, family entertainment, sporting tournaments and the ever-popular 40th Paella Competition, followed by the colourful Tardeo Paelles with live performances, DJs and entertainment. Music lovers can also look forward to Mamma Mia in Concert, celebrating the greatest hits of ABBA.
The celebrations culminate in two unforgettable days of tradition. On 27 July, a solemn procession carrying the relic of Santa Catalina Tomàs winds through Valldemossa before an intimate concert by legendary Mallorcan singer-songwriter Tomeu Penya in Plaça de Cartoixa.
The highlight arrives on 28 July, the feast day of La Beata. Following the morning Cercavila, the Beateta, the Cort d’Angelets, the Hereva and the Dames d’Honor parade through the village before the solemn mass in honour of Santa Catalina Tomàs. In the evening, Valldemossa hosts its most iconic tradition: the spectacular Carro Triomfal procession. Accompanied by traditional music bands, the Xeremiers de Sa Garriga, decorated carts and locals dressed in traditional Mallorcan costume, this extraordinary parade was declared Intangible Cultural Heritage of Mallorca in 2025 and remains one of the island’s most unique cultural celebrations.
