🎬 Vertifest Magaluf 2026 · International Vertical Drama Festival
Big stories. Small screens. A whole new way of storytelling. 📱🎬
On 24 and 25 November 2026, Magaluf will host the first edition of Vertifest Magaluf, a new international festival dedicated entirely to one of the fastest-growing trends in the audiovisual industry: vertical dramas.
Think short, addictive episodes created specifically for your phone. Often lasting just one or two minutes, these bite-sized stories are changing how audiences consume entertainment and opening up new opportunities for filmmakers, screenwriters, producers and digital platforms.
Already a major industry in Asia, vertical storytelling is rapidly gaining ground in Europe. And now Mallorca is stepping into the spotlight.
🎥 What’s Happening?
Vertifest Magaluf brings together the creative and business sides of this emerging industry, connecting filmmakers, producers, platforms, brands and investors for two days of ideas, networking and industry discussions.
The programme includes:
🎤 VERTIPITCH CALVIÀ – A national pitching initiative where ten selected vertical drama projects will be presented to audiovisual industry professionals.
💡 VERTITALKS – Inspirational talks exploring new storytelling formats, creative possibilities and business opportunities in vertical entertainment.
🤝 Industry Roundtables – Conversations bringing together producers, platforms, investors and other key players shaping the future of mobile-first entertainment.
🌍 Why Mallorca?
Mallorca is increasingly establishing itself as a destination for international audiovisual productions and industry events.
Following initiatives such as Conecta Fiction, Vertifest Magaluf aims to strengthen the island’s position within the creative industries while helping establish Spain as a hub for vertical content production.
The festival is conceived as an annual event and is produced by BIAM, Be a Child Group Productions, TBC Agency, El Destino Producciones and Onza, with institutional support from the Balearic Islands.
