Mallorca launches PHOF – Mallorca PhotoFest, a new international photography and visual-image festival, led by Art Palma Contemporani (APC) and inspired by the legacy of Palma Photo. This first edition will unfold across the entire island – from Palma to multiple Part Forana municipalities – making it the first event of its kind held simultaneously throughout Mallorca.
Directed by Xavier Fiol, with Montserrat Torras and Xisco Bonnín as co-curators, PHOF will offer a wide and ambitious programme: exhibitions, talks, workshops, competitions, guided tours, and educational activities, in collaboration with major public and private cultural institutions.
PHOF aims to help audiences reflect on and understand the role of photography today, encouraging new ways of seeing and questioning the visual world around us. It also revives and updates the spirit of the historic Palma Photo (2001–2015), bringing contemporary creators and institutions together once again.
