Fifteen years of cinema, independent voices and bringing filmmakers from around the world to Mallorca.
From 28 October–4 November 2026, the Evolution Mallorca International Film Festival (EMIFF) returns for a milestone 15th edition, celebrating another year of international and local filmmaking on the island.
Born in Mallorca, EMIFF has grown into an international meeting point for filmmakers, actors, producers and cinema lovers, with a programme traditionally spanning feature films, shorts, documentaries, international premieres, industry events, talks and networking opportunities.
At its heart remains the festival’s focus on independent voices, diverse perspectives and connecting cultures through cinema — with Mallorca itself playing an important role in its identity.
🦀 The Crab · EMIFF 2026
This year’s official poster introduces The Crab, designed by Olaf Meyer and inspired by one of the Mediterranean’s familiar inhabitants.
Resilient, determined and quite happy to forge its own path, the crab has been chosen as a metaphor for the festival itself: moving forward differently, exploring new perspectives and making space for independent voices and diverse stories.
It also completes a three-year visual trilogy celebrating the marine life of the Balearic Islands:
