COOKBOOK CLUB · THE RISE

A monthly community-focused dinner party by MOLTAK

Friday, 2 October | 19:00–22:00

What is the Cookbook Club?

More than a dinner, Cookbook Club is a shared ritual.

Each month, food lovers gather around one chosen cookbook. Everyone picks a recipe, then comes together to cook, taste, share stories and discover a new food culture around one big table.

This month: The Rise

October’s edition turns to Marcus Samuelsson’s The Rise: Black Cooks and the Soul of American Food — a celebration of Black cooking, creativity and the people and stories that have shaped American food.

Led by Angela Whitney, the evening brings the book off the page and onto the table, with everyone contributing to a dinner designed to be cooked and shared together.

Come curious, come hungry — and discover a cookbook through the best possible way: actually eating it.

🌾 MOLTAK – Where Tradition Meets Conscious Living

Step inside a 17th-century windmill in the heart of Palma and discover MOLTAK — a creative, light-filled space where food, craft, and community come together.

Once part of the city’s historic belt of flour mills, this beautifully restored molí now turns its energy toward a new kind of nourishment — for body, mind, and spirit.

At MOLTAK, cooking becomes connection. You’re invited to learn, taste, and share through a series of hands-on workshops, creative gatherings, and holistic culinary experiences that celebrate seasonal ingredients and Mediterranean roots.

From the monthly SoulCooking Experiences to guest chef residencies, pop-ups, and mindful cooking retreats, every activity is designed to bring people closer — to the food they eat, the stories behind it, and each other.

The windmill’s open kitchen and communal tables set the tone for slow, joyful discovery: real food, made with love, and served with a pinch of fun.
