🎤 13th Fira del Glosat · Maria de la Salut

One of Mallorca’s most fascinating living traditions returns to Maria de la Salut for its 13th edition.

The Fira del Glosat brings together glosadors for an evening dedicated to glosa, Mallorca’s traditional form of improvised oral poetry. Verses are created and performed on the spot, with glosadors responding to one another through rhyme, humour, observation and quick thinking.

More than simply a performance, glosat is an important part of Mallorca’s popular culture – a tradition passed down through generations and one that continues to evolve today thanks to communities and organisations such as Glosadors de Mallorca.

Head to Plaça del Pou for a very Mallorcan summer night celebrating language, improvisation and local culture.
