🏊♀️ XXIII Sa Milla – Open Water Charity Swim
One of Mallorca’s most beloved open-water swimming events returns this summer as Sa Milla celebrates its 23rd edition on 29 August 2026 at Club Nàutic S’Arenal.
Covering a classic one nautical mile (1,852 metres) between Club Nàutic S’Arenal and Cala Blava, the event welcomes swimmers of all ages and abilities for a day that combines sport, community and solidarity.
Founded more than 20 years ago by Balearic swimming legend Tolo Bonet, Sa Milla has become a summer tradition on the island. Beyond the competition itself, the event is dedicated to supporting a meaningful cause, with 100% of registration fees donated to ELA Balears, helping improve the lives of people living with Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis (ALS) and their families.
Participants receive an official event T-shirt and swimming cap, insurance, cloakroom service, support boats throughout the course and refreshments after crossing the finish line. Trophies, medals and special prizes will also be awarded to the top finishers.
The swim forms part of the Gran Día de la Vela – Bufete Frau, one of the Balearic Islands’ flagship sailing events, creating a vibrant weekend that brings together more than 1,000 athletes across sailing and open-water swimming.
