Sant Jaume 2026 in Manacor

One of Mallorca’s most beloved traditional summer festivals returns as Sant Jaume fills the streets of Manacor from 17–25 July 2026 with nine days of culture, music, family activities and centuries-old traditions.

Throughout the week, visitors can enjoy everything from concerts, children’s workshops and local wine tastings to traditional sporting events and open-air cinema. The celebrations build towards 25 July, the feast day of Sant Jaume, when Manacor comes alive with one of the island’s most distinctive traditions: L’Encamisada.

Festival Highlights

17 July – Opening Celebrations
The festivities begin with the ceremonial Entrega de l’Estendard de Sant Jaume, followed by the official opening speech (Crida a la Festa), a lively parade through the historic centre with the Mulassa and Xaranga de Manacor, before ending with a traditional Ball de Bot in Plaça de Ramon Llull.

18 July – Corregudes des Cos & Family Fun
Saturday starts with the traditional Corregudes des Cos, Manacor’s historic foot races in Plaça Rector Rubí. Families can enjoy children’s workshops before the afternoon brings the much-loved wedding of Jaumet and Jaumeta, followed by the lively Ses Canyes celebration featuring music, food stalls, the famous greased pole challenge (Cucanya) and plenty of water fights.

21–23 July
The programme continues with concerts, local wine tastings, talks, open-air gatherings, children’s activities and an outdoor cinema screening, offering something for all ages throughout the week.

24 July – Sant Jaume Eve
One of the busiest evenings of the festival begins with the Replec dels Cavalls de Sant Jaume and the ceremonial delivery of the Penó before the Sant Jaume Night Fair transforms Plaça de Ramon Llull into a lively artisan and food market. The evening finishes with the Revetlla de Sant Jaume, featuring live music from Orquestra Oasis, VAL-9 and Gas Butano.

25 July – Sant Jaume Day
The highlight of the entire festival starts with the traditional procession and Solemn Mass before the afternoon’s spectacular Encamisada, where locals dressed in white accompany the Cavalls de Sant Jaume through Manacor’s streets. The celebrations conclude with the thrilling Córrer l’Anell, a historic horseback competition on Avinguda de Baix des Cos, followed by the final Revetlla featuring La Década Prodigiosa and DJ Titi.
