Santa Ponça comes alive this summer for the 31st edition of the Festes del Rei En Jaume, commemorating the 796th anniversary of King Jaume I’s historic landing on the Mallorcan coast.
Over thirty activities will fill the streets with history, culture, music, and sport, creating a vibrant, family-friendly celebration that draws thousands each year.

History & Tradition
This year’s symbolic duel will see Manuel Machado as King Jaume I and Aleix Ríos as Abu Yahya, leading the 24 participating groups (13 Christian, 11 Moorish) in spectacular parades and the legendary landing and battle re-enactment.
Whether tradition holds with a Christian victory or the Moors resist once more is for the audience to witness on Saturday 6 September.

Music, Culture & Sport
Enjoy concerts from Alejandra Burgos, Fandango All Stars, Los Javaloyas, Saoko, and Son mezcla’o. There’s also musical theatre, open-air cinema, children’s shows, storytelling, and comedy from Madó Pereta, Rubén García, and Javito Rivas.
Sports lovers can join or watch events including the Santa Ponça bay swim, beach volleyball, frontennis, Nordic walking, and the prestigious Rei En Jaume Regatta linking Calvià and Salou.
