✨ prosper, despite a sense of crisis — Ahren Warner (solo exhibition)
This solo show by artist and writer Ahren Warner brings together painting, installed film, and wall sculpture.
From footage captured in luxury wellness retreats in Indonesia to paintings that rework stills and text from his own films and poems, Warner explores the clash between the fantasy of an “optimised self” and the flawed reality of human experience.
Moving between saturated, seductive imagery and surfaces that are both meticulously crafted and intentionally corroded, the exhibition examines how contemporary identity is shaped, fractured, and consumed.
🍊 Blemish on Fruit — Toby Ziegler & Ahren Warner (collaborative exhibition)
Presented alongside Warner’s solo show, Blemish on Fruit brings Ziegler’s film The Visual Genome (2019) into conversation with Warner’s Live like you’ve never lived before (2022).
Both works explore the space between language and its limits — between what we feel, what we see, and what we can say.
Ziegler probes the absurd logic of algorithms and image-generation systems, while Warner dives into the ruptures of communication, desire, and late-capitalist longing.
Together, the films create a playful, disorienting, and deeply human reflection on how meaning emerges, collapses, and persists.
