🍴 La Cala Brutal Local · Food, Music & the Brilliantly Bonkers Brutal Autos

Local food, Mallorcan wine and craft beer, live music… and homemade cars hurtling downhill without an engine. Cala Sant Vicenç brings back La Cala Brutal Local for its second edition on Saturday, 19 September.

The day is all about celebrating what’s made locally, bringing together gastronomy, producers, artisans and plenty of music. Expect a local tapas competition, a showcase of Mallorcan craft breweries and wineries, local products and a soundtrack stretching from reggae to gipsy sounds and DJs.

On stage, the programme includes Glasford Reggae Band, Tramuntana Gipsy, Aftersuns and Truc, followed by DJs Mesclat.

And then there’s Brutal Autos. 🚗💨 The wonderfully unconventional homemade-cart race returns for its second edition, with teams racing their own creations through Cala Sant Vicenç. No engines are allowed – just human power and the momentum of the descent. Prizes include fastest car, most original car and, naturally, the most brutalment local creation.

🚗 Brutal Autos

Vehicle checks and safety briefing begin at 09:00 on Avinguda Cavall Bernat, with the race starting from 11:00. Registration for participants has now closed, but everyone can come along to watch.
