⚔️ Fiestas del Rei En Jaume 2026 · Santa Ponça

History takes over the streets and beaches of Santa Ponça for the annual Fiestas del Rei En Jaume, one of Calvià’s biggest traditional celebrations.

Running from 26 August to 6 September, this year’s festivities commemorate the 797th anniversary of the landing of King Jaume I’s troops in Mallorca in 1229, combining historical reenactments with concerts, traditional culture, sport, family activities and plenty of late-night celebrations. The modern festivities themselves have now been celebrated in Santa Ponça for 31 years.

And while the programme has already started, some of the biggest events are still to come this week.

🔥 Tuesday, 1 September · Nit de Foc

One for the dimonis fans.

🏺 17:30–20:00 · 1231: de Al Mayurqa a la Corona de Aragón · historical recreation at Parc Arqueològic de sa Morisca
🔥 22:00 · Nit de Foc with Dimonis de Calvià, starting from the Santa Ponça Tourist Office and lasting approximately 75 minutes.

If you’re joining the correfoc, wear old non-flammable cotton clothing, long trousers, closed sports shoes and something to protect your head and neck. Children should not stand in the front rows.

🎬 Wednesday, 2 September · History + Cinema on the Beach

⚔️ 18:30 · Theatrical cultural route recreating the landing of King Jaume I · meeting point at Caló d’en Pellisser. Advance registration required.

Then it’s back to Plaça de la Pinada for another concert night from 22:00–03:00, with La Movida Band, La Canción del Verano and DJ Txema Sánchez.

🎆 Sunday, 6 September · Final Celebrations + Fireworks

The final day brings the festivities to a slightly calmer close — before one last big show over the beach.
