🎉 Festes de la Beata 2026 – Vilafranca de Bonany

One of Mallorca’s most authentic summer celebrations returns as Vilafranca de Bonany celebrates the Festes de la Beata from 17 July to 2 August 2026.

Rooted in centuries of tradition and dedicated to Santa Catalina Tomàs, Mallorca’s only saint, the festivities combine culture, music, gastronomy and community spirit with more than 50 activities for all ages. At the heart of the celebrations is the village’s iconic Dimoni (Devil), the true protagonist of the festival, whose lively appearances through the streets have become one of the island’s most unique traditions.

This year’s programme opens with the new Pregofest, an original theatrical opening celebration, before continuing with two weeks of concerts, street parties, comedy nights, cinema under the stars, tapas routes, sporting competitions, folklore, family activities and traditional events.

Among the highlights are the Sortida del Dimoni i els Caparrots, accompanied by the village’s xeremiers (traditional Mallorcan bagpipers), the Beata Prix, the Playback Dance Show, the Nit Jove, the traditional Verbena, the spectacular Beatifoc fire run and the Mostra de Ball d’Aires Vilafranquins.

New for 2026 is La Beata en Petit, a special family afternoon where children recreate the famous Dimoni procession with miniature costumes, caparrots and their own young xeremiers, bringing one of Vilafranca’s most treasured traditions to the next generation.

The programme also includes the second edition of Es Show Plan, the Vilafranca Literària cultural cycle honouring writers Blai Bonet and Joan Alcover, a solidarity dinner, local food experiences, live music and plenty of opportunities to experience the village’s warm community atmosphere.
