🎬 Evolution Mallorca International Film Festival (EMIFF) 2025

📅 21–29 October 2025
📍 Palma de Mallorca

Now in its 14th edition, the Evolution Mallorca International Film Festival (EMIFF) returns to Palma with its most ambitious program yet — featuring over 150 films and projects from around the world and 47 Balearic productions competing in the Made in Baleares section.

Founded by Sandra Seeling Lipski, the festival continues its mission of “Bridging Cultures – Bridging People” through the universal language of cinema — connecting independent filmmakers, industry professionals, and audiences from across the globe.

✨ Connecting Local and International Talent

This year, EMIFF strengthens its role as a creative bridge between the Balearic and international film communities. The Made in Baleares competition celebrates 47 locally produced works across nearly all festival categories — from documentaries and student shorts to experimental films and music videos.

Festival director Sandra Lipski emphasized EMIFF’s role in supporting emerging filmmakers: “Our goal has always been to connect cultures and people — and to support local talent from the very beginning. It’s exciting to see how scripts first awarded at our festival return as completed films.”

🌍 About the Festival

Over nine days, EMIFF transforms Palma into a creative hub for film lovers – offering screenings, panels, networking events, and unforgettable experiences across the city’s most iconic venues:

🎥 CineCiutat – daily screenings & competitions
🏛 Palau de Congressos – opening gala & special events
🎭 Teatre Principal – red carpet & closing ceremony
🌊 Hotel Es Princep & El Llorenç Parc de la Mar – industry talks & networking
🍸 Purohotel Palma & Rívoli – afterparties & creative gatherings

This year’s program includes the festival’s largest feature film lineup to date, with International FeaturesDebut Features, and Spotlight Screenings, alongside an inspiring selection of documentaries, short films, music videos, and Balearic productions.
