🧵 XTANT NOMAD 2026
A global celebration of textile art, craft & the nomadic spirit
📅 Dates: May 9–12, 2026
🕰️ Opening hours: 11:00 – 19:00
📍 Main location: Can Vivot, Palma de Mallorca
XTANT returns to Palma for its 7th edition with NOMAD 2026 — a deeply moving, multi-day gathering that brings together textile art, ancestral knowledge, and contemporary creativity from across the globe.
More than just an event, XTANT is a living encounter with craft — where over 90 master artisans and artists from 35+ countries transform Palma’s historic spaces into places of dialogue, beauty, and cultural exchange.
✨ A special highlight: Castell de Bellver
This year, one of the most powerful moments of XTANT unfolds at Castell de Bellver, where the immersive installation:
🐑 “Sueños de Lana” (Dreams of Wool)
takes over the space.
This sensory exhibition explores wool not just as a material, but as memory, identity, and possibility — tracing its deep-rooted connection to Mallorca while addressing its near disappearance in recent years.
Through storytelling, texture, and large-scale installation, it shines a light on the revival of the island’s wool ecosystem — from local shepherding traditions to innovative collaborations rebuilding the full value chain .
🌅 Opening at Bellver Castle
The exhibition will be inaugurated with a special opening event at Castell de Bellver — a moment designed to bring together artists, makers, and visitors in one of Mallorca’s most iconic settings.
Expect a unique atmosphere at sunset, where craft, landscape, and community come together in a truly memorable way.

🌿 The theme: NOMAD
Inspired by the International Year of Rangelands and Pastoralists, NOMAD 2026 reflects on the wisdom of nomadic cultures – communities that have lived in deep connection with nature for generations.
It’s an invitation to slow down, to listen, and to rediscover the value of making by hand in a world increasingly defined by speed and automation.
💫 Why go
Because XTANT isn’t about consumption – it’s about connection.
Between maker and visitor. Between past and future. Between craft and culture.
It’s where Palma quietly positions itself as a global hub for textile heritage and artistic excellence – drawing collectors, designers, and curious minds from around the world.
