Discover, learn and help protect our Mediterranean.

To mark World Environment Day, Palma City Council is hosting two days of free activities dedicated to marine conservation, biodiversity and environmental awareness. From dolphin and turtle rescue demonstrations to educational workshops, open days and a concert by Palma’s Municipal Band, the programme offers something for all ages.

Whether you’re curious about marine wildlife, passionate about sustainability or simply looking for a family-friendly activity, this is a wonderful opportunity to connect with the natural world and learn more about the sea that surrounds us.

Highlights include:

🐬 Marine Wildlife Rescue Demonstrations
Learn how professionals respond when dolphins, turtles and other marine animals become stranded along our coastline.

🌊 “A Sea of Knowledge”
Discover the fascinating biodiversity of the Mediterranean and gain a deeper understanding of the ecosystems that make it so unique.

“The Magic of the Sea”
A family-friendly activity designed to inspire curiosity about marine life and conservation.

🚪 Open Day at Aula de la Mar
Explore Palma’s environmental education centre and learn about the work being done to protect Mallorca’s marine environment.

🎶 Concert by the Municipal Band of Palma
Celebrate World Environment Day with a free open-air concert in Es Rafal.
