.) Covered Markets in Mallorca (Open Most Days)

Covered markets offer a great alternative to open-air markets. Generally open Monday to Saturday (closed Sundays), they’re ideal for relaxed shopping, whatever the weather.

You’ll find long-standing stalls run by knowledgeable vendors selling fresh fish, meat, fruit, vegetables, cheeses, and local specialties. In Palma, covered markets also feature bars and cafés, making them a social hub as much as a shopping destination.

The Calendar's Note

*Deià has a small weekly market on Wednesdays, and we love a stroll through the village, enjoying a coffee and some shopping along the way.

Calvià now offers traditional markets seven days a week, including the new weekly market in *El Toro.

It’s the setting that makes *Santanyi‘s market stand apart from the rest; taking place in the town’s medieval streets.

Dating back to 1306, *Sineu‘s market boasts the island’s most authentic experience, complete with live animal sales – a perfect choice for those seeking a nostalgic journey through time.
