Sant Antoni in Muro is one of the most deeply rooted and proudly lived celebrations in the Part Forana. Declared Intangible Cultural Heritage, the festival brings together fire, music, devotion and community spirit in a programme designed for all ages.
From the penjada dels penons (raising of the banners) and the first tonada santantoniera, to foguerons, torrades, ximbombades and the powerful presence of the dimonis, Sant Antoni in Muro is a celebration that belongs to everyone — locals and visitors alike.
✨ Highlights of the Celebration
- Penjada dels Penons and official opening, accompanied by the Xeremiers de Muro – Es Reguinyol
- Tonades santantonieres, sung collectively to invoke the protection of Sant Antoni
- Ronda dels Dimonis, Encalçadimonis and the Ball dels 3 Tombs
- Foguerons, torrades and correfoc, filling the streets with fire, rhythm and emotion
- Traditional Beneïdes, with animals and participants dressed in traditional pagès attire
- Concerts, workshops, storytelling and family activities throughout the week
- Trobada de Gegants, glosades and cultural presentations celebrating local heritage
The heart of the celebration arrives on 16–17 January, when Sant Antoni and the dimonis take over the streets, bonfires are lit and the village gathers around fire, song and tradition.
