This weekend, Santanyí celebrates its big annual fair, blending art, tradition, gastronomy, and community spirit. From the long-awaited Canal’Art to traditional parades, culinary showcases, live music, and fiery correfocs, it’s one of the island’s most vibrant autumn events.
🗓️ Friday, October 17 – Canal’Art & Opening Events
👉 18:00 – Canal’Art 2025 finally opens! Discover art exhibitions throughout the village, starting with the inauguration at the Casa de Cultura. Find out more here!
👉 19:00 – Opening ceremony of the 2025/2026 academic year of the Municipal Music School (EMMS) at the auditorium, featuring performances by former students now studying at the Conservatori Superior de les Illes Balears.
🗓️ Saturday, October 18 – Sa Fira de Santanyí
The streets of Santanyí come alive from morning to night with local produce, crafts, animals, classic cars, rally exhibitions, and Harley Davidson displays.
🎺 10:00 – Opening parade with the Santanyí Municipal Band and the traditional pigeon release at Placeta de la Porta Murada.
🐶 11:00 – Demonstration of shepherd dogs with geese by Miquel Adrover “des Cau” (Ronda de Na Ravandella).
🎵 12:00 – Organ concert by Francesca Suau at the Church of Sant Andreu (free entry).
🐎 17:00 – “Jaleo” equestrian games and fun races, organized by Amics dels Cavalls de Santanyí with live music from the municipal band.
🍴 19:00 – Local food showcase at Placeta de s’Abeurador by the Housewives Association, featuring local restaurants and traditional sweets, with live music by Marga Pocoví & Biel Tous.
🔥 22:15 – Children’s Correfoc with Colla de Dimonis d’Albopas.
🔥 23:15 – Main Correfoc with Es Galera and Dimonis de Hiachat (Espiadimonis, Felanitx).
🥁 After the fire, the Batukada Espiatocats leads everyone to the Centre Jove for the all-night Firafest 2025!
