The Dijous Bo of Inca is Mallorca’s biggest and most iconic fair — known as “the fair of all fairs” and one of the most celebrated events in the Balearic Islands.

Every November, the streets of Inca fill with life: markets, livestock shows, concerts, street food, and the unmistakable festive spirit of the island’s heartland.

🐖 Dijous Bo 2025 – Inca’s Great Fair

📅 Thursday, November 13, 2025
📍 Inca – Town centre & fairgrounds

🕰️ A Fair with Centuries of History

The origins of Dijous Bo date back to the Middle Ages, when Inca was becoming Mallorca’s main hub for trade and craftsmanship. Farmers, artisans, and merchants gathered each autumn to buy and sell produce, livestock, and tools. It was known as the “Good Thursday” – the most important market day of the year.

🌾 Tradition Meets Modern Spirit

What began as an agricultural fair has evolved into a full-scale celebration of Mallorcan culture and identity:

  • Agriculture & livestock – Competitions and exhibitions, including the renowned black pig showcase.
  • Crafts & industry – Inca, the island’s capital of leather and footwear, proudly displays its craftsmanship and innovation.
  • Gastronomy – From porcella rostida (roast suckling pig) to pa amb sobrassada and traditional frit, food takes centre stage. Dining in one of Inca’s historic cellers is a must.
  • Culture & music – Performances, folk dancing, and children’s activities fill every square and street.

🎨 Dijous Bo 2025: “Un altre any”

This year’s official Dijous Bo 2025 poster pays homage to the fair’s agricultural roots and creative renewal.
Designed by Pedro Agüera Llinás, a visual artist and graphic designer from Inca, the winning artwork — titled “Un altre any” — was created using digital collage techniques.

The piece merges visual elements from the Mallorcan countryside with a contemporary, imaginative style — symbolizing the fair’s enduring balance between tradition and modernity.

As Mayor Virgilio Moreno noted at the unveiling: “The poster perfectly captures what Dijous Bo represents: a celebration rooted in our history, yet open to the future.”

Selected from over fifteen submissions, Agüera’s design will now represent Mallorca’s most important fair, marking the official start of preparations for this much-loved island event.

🎉 Curiosities & Atmosphere

More than 150,000 visitors flock to Inca each year for Dijous Bo. The fairgrounds take over much of the town centre, with food stalls, attractions, and live shows.

Festivities begin the night before — the legendary Dimecres Bo (Wednesday, November 12) — when concerts, parties, and music fill the air until dawn.

💫 Why It’s Special

For locals, Dijous Bo is more than a fair – it’s a celebration of community, tradition, and identity.

It’s the day when islanders reunite, toast with vi negre, and honour Inca’s enduring connection between its agricultural past and its vibrant present.

More details and exact schedules will be announced soon!

📍 The program may vary due to weather or unforeseen circumstances. Please check the official channels of Ajuntament d’Inca for updates before attending.
