🫒 Olive Oil – After Hours · A Private Tasting Experience at SONMO Palma
Discover Mallorca through one of its most treasured products: olive oil. Every Tuesday evening, SONMO Palma opens its doors for an intimate after-hours experience, bringing together local flavours, centuries-old traditions and the stories behind the island’s craftsmanship.
With the store closed exclusively for the group, guests are invited to explore the world of SONMO, from the olive groves of its estate in Valldemossa to the carefully selected food, ceramics, textiles and objects found in its Palma store.
At the heart of the experience is a guided tasting of SONMO’s organic extra virgin olive oil, offering a chance to learn what makes a quality olive oil, how to recognise its different characteristics and why olive growing is such an important part of Mallorca’s agricultural heritage.
🫒 What to Expect
Over the course of one hour, guests will enjoy:
- An introduction to Mallorca’s olive oil heritage, including the traditions of the Serra de Tramuntana and SONMO’s estate in Valldemossa.
- A guided olive oil tasting, featuring SONMO organic extra virgin olive oil and an introduction to the fundamentals of tasting.
- A selection of estate products, including jams, sobrasada and olives, accompanied by local cookies.
- Drinks, including homemade lemonade, water and a glass of wine.
- A behind-the-scenes introduction to SONMO, discovering the stories, materials and craftsmanship behind selected products, from ceramics and textiles to food and other objects inspired by the estate.
It’s a lovely opportunity to experience a different side of Mallorca, without leaving the heart of Palma.
