🕯️ Nit de les Ànimes & Tots Sants 2026 – Storytelling, Spooky Legends & Family Activities Across Mallorca
Ghost stories, ancient traditions and a little autumn magic! 👻🕯️
Halloween isn’t the only celebration taking place in Mallorca at the end of October!
From 21 October to 4 November 2026, libraries and cultural centres across the island are celebrating Nit de les Ànimes (Night of the Souls) and Tots Sants (All Saints’ Day) with a special programme of storytelling, local legends and conversations for children, teenagers and adults.
Organised by Fundació Mallorca Literària and the Consell de Mallorca, the programme invites families to discover the island’s traditional autumn celebrations, explore stories passed down through generations and reflect on how different cultures understand life and death.
And the best part? There are activities taking place in villages and towns all across Mallorca!
🕯️ Nit de les Ànimes – A Mallorcan Tradition
Long before Halloween became popular on the island, Mallorca had its own traditions surrounding the night before All Saints’ Day.
Nit de les Ànimes, traditionally celebrated on 31 October, is closely connected to remembrance, family, candlelight and stories about the world of spirits.
This year’s programme celebrates these traditions through literature, storytelling and cultural activities, bringing old customs and legends to new generations.
