One of Mallorca’s longest-running fairs is celebrating a pretty incredible milestone this autumn: 480 years.
The Fires de Llucmajor return from 25 September–31 October 2026 under the motto “480 anys fent poble” – 480 years of bringing the community together. Dating back to 1546, the celebrations have evolved into more than a month of traditional fairs, local gastronomy, crafts, music, culture, sport and family activities across Llucmajor. cast programa Fires 2026
At the heart of the programme are the four traditional fair days: Primera Fira on 29 September (Sant Miquel), Segona Fira on 4 October, Tercera Fira on 11 October and Darrera Fira on 18 October, followed by Es Firó on 19 October. cast programa Fires 2026
🌿 Tradition, Markets & Mallorcan Culture
The Primera Fira on 29 September coincides with the feast of Sant Miquel, Llucmajor’s patron saint, and is one of the best days to experience the traditional side of the Fires. Expect the Cavallets Cotoners, xeremiers (Mallorcan bagpipers), gegants, capgrossos, ball de bot, the Banda de Música de Llucmajor and celebrations around Plaça Espanya and the church of Sant Miquel. cast programa Fires 2026

🥘 Tasta Llucmajor & the Big Final Weekend
The celebrations build towards one of the biggest weekends of the Fires from 16–19 October, when the 46th Mostra Llucmajorera takes over Passeig Jaume III and other spaces around town.
On Friday 16 October, the second edition of Tasta Llucmajor brings local products to the Claustre de Sant Bonaventura from 19:00–23:00, followed at 20:30 by a screening of the short film Dies Festus with live music by composer Xavier Gelabert. Tickets are €10. cast programa Fires 2026

If you only make it to one of the traditional fair days, Darrera Fira on Sunday 18 October is certainly one to put on the calendar.
From 09:00, the Mostra Ramadera celebrates Mallorca’s rural traditions with Mallorcan white and red sheep, falconry, ca de pastor mallorquí, ca rater mallorquí, Ibizan hounds, cans de bou, native Balearic birds and farm animals. cast programa Fires 2026

SEP 25–29 · Opening Weekend, Fashion & Sant Miquel
👗 Friday 25 September
The Fires begin with Fashion Week Llucmajor, opening at 19:00 at Mirador de Son Verí Nou with a fashion show centred around reducing, recycling and reusing textiles while promoting local commerce. The event is free, but an advance pass is required. cast programa Fires 2026
🎾 Saturday 26 September
The day includes the I Torneo de Tenis Ciutat de Llucmajor, an open day at Son Mut Nou, a photography workshop at the Centre Internacional de Fotografia and another Fashion Week show at 18:00. 🐴 Tuesday 29 September · Sant Miquel & Primera Fira
One of the major traditional days. The morning starts with a popular cycling event at 09:00, while from 19:00 the focus moves to Plaça Espanya for the Cavallets Cotoners, xeremiers, gegants, capgrossos, ball de bot groups and the Banda de Música de Llucmajor. At 19:00, the Claustre de Sant Bonaventura opens Llucmajor de mostra. 45 anys de Mostra Llucmajorera, an exhibition looking back at 45 years of the town’s Mostra. It remains open until 31 December. At 21:30, the Claustre hosts the 6è Festival Líric de Llucmajor. cast programa Fires 2026
🤖 Friday 2 October

👹 Sunday 11 October · Tercera Fira
This is another of the big traditional days. The 25th Trobada de Gegants & 7th Trobada de Xeremiers begins at 10:00, followed by a parade and giant dancing in Plaça Espanya.
The artisan, opportunity and antiques fairs continue from 10:00–20:30, alongside food trucks until 22:00. The Mostra runs from 10:00–14:00 and 16:00–21:00. Around it, you’ll find a dog agility exhibition at 11:30, xeremiers through the streets, an equestrian show at 17:00, children’s craft workshops, a concert at Sant Miquel and traditional ball de bot.
