The 11th edition of Challenge Peguera Mallorca — the island’s premier international triathlon — takes place this Saturday, October 18, bringing together more than 1,600 athletes from 49 countries for a world-class sporting weekend in the southwest of Mallorca.

Starting at 9 a.m., the triathlon will see some of the sport’s top names compete for the prestigious Siurell Champion title. In the men’s field, James Teagle (UK) and Ognjen Stojanović (Serbia) are among the frontrunners, while in the women’s race, Lena Meißner (Germany) is the favourite, with Daisy Davies (UK) and Anna Bergsten (Sweden) close behind.
Alongside the main race, the event also features age-group and relay categories (men’s, women’s, and mixed), all of which sold out well in advance – with participants ranging from 18 to 82 years old.
But Challenge Peguera Mallorca is much more than a triathlon. From Thursday 16 to Sunday 19 October, the town transforms into a celebration of sport, culture, and community, featuring:

The event is organised by the Calvià 365 Foundation and Calvià Town Hall, with the support of the Balearic Triathlon Federation, AETIB, and local partners including Valentín Hotels, Universal Beach Hotels, and Challenge Family. Over 650 volunteers from local clubs and communities will help bring the race to life.

⚠️ Traffic notice: Road closures and parking restrictions will be in place across Calvià on Saturday from 7 a.m. to 3 p.m., affecting areas including Peguera, Es Capdellà, Calvià, Son Bugadelles, Magaluf, Son Ferrer, El Toro, Santa Ponça, and Costa de la Calma. Residents are advised to plan journeys in advance and avoid these zones during race hours.
