The Calendar's Note

Sauna Tramuntana brings the spirit of Nordic sauna culture to Mallorca – blending Scandinavian traditions with the island’s Mediterranean soul.

Based in the foothills of the Tramuntana mountains, they rent and sell mobile saunas, portable sauna tents, and cold plunges, while hosting weekly outdoor drop-in sessions around Palma. Their gatherings are simple, social, and deeply restorative – a way to reconnect with nature, community, and yourself.

The story began in Oslo, by the river Akerselva, where founders Jonathan and Kiki helped run three community saunas through the non-profit Lilleborg Elvebadstue. Surrounded by cold rivers and wood-fired heat, they learned firsthand the benefits of combining heat and cold exposure – and the joy of sharing it with others.

Now, in Mallorca, they’re bringing that same spirit south: merging Nordic sauna traditions with Mediterranean warmth. Sauna Tramuntana reflects the essence of the mountains – silence, tranquility, health, and energy. It’s about zoning in or out, sharing with friends, or simply enjoying a mindful pause.

💫 Weekly sessions, mobile saunas, and the simple magic of heat and cold.
