A festival set in a former fortress by the sea.
Step into a world of timeless elegance and world-class artistry. Every summer – typically in early August – Festival Cap Rocat transforms Mallorca’s most iconic fortress hotel into an open-air stage for three extraordinary nights of opera and classical music.
Under the artistic direction of Ilias Tzempetonidis, this one-of-a-kind event welcomes internationally acclaimed artists to a setting like no other: Hotel Cap Rocat, a spectacularly restored military fortress perched above the Mediterranean Sea.
The festival is organized by the Fundación Madina Mayurqa, a non‑profit organization (NGO), founded in 2001 in Palma, with a clear mission to preserve Mallorcan traditions and cultural heritage. They organize high-profile cultural initiatives – like Festival Cap Rocat and charity concerts – and support projects aimed at community well‑being
Curated by Antonio Obrador, the festival is more than a concert series – it’s a cultural journey that blends music, architecture, and the soul of Mallorca. Alongside unforgettable performances, the program includes educational initiatives, reaffirming the island’s growing stature on the global classical music stage.
Don’t miss your chance to be part of one of Europe’s most exclusive cultural events.
