Casa Planas

The Planas Archive holds over 3 million images documenting the evolution of tourism in Spain.

Housed in a former photo development factory in Palma, the Planas Archive holds over 3 million imagesdocumenting the evolution of tourism in Spain — from industrial postcards that circled the globe to early hotel photographs and cultural snapshots from the 50s, 60s & 70s.

Today, this cultural legacy is preserved and reinterpreted by Marina Planas through art, memory, and critical reflectionon the impact of tourism. The result is a living cultural observatory that invites us to rethink how we see Mallorca — but also needs our support!

Today, this immense cultural legacy is both preserved and reimagined — through art, memory, and critical reflection on the impact of tourism. It is a living cultural observatory that invites us to see Mallorca with fresh eyes, through initiatives like the COSTA Observatory, ARCHITOURS, and FILMNÄCHTE.
