Palma will once again fill its streets with solidarity and energy as it hosts the 10th edition of “Mallorca on the Move Against Cancer”, organised by the Spanish Association Against Cancer (AECC). This much-loved charity event combines sport, community, and compassion — raising funds for cancer research and supporting those affected by the disease.
The event will take place on Sunday, 26 October, starting and finishing on Avinguda Antoni Maura, next to Parc de la Mar, and offers activities for all ages and fitness levels in a festive, family-friendly atmosphere.
🏃♀️ Programme & Race Details
Open Race – 8 km
- ⏰ Start: 9:00 a.m.
- 🚩 Two laps of a closed urban circuit
- 🧍 Minimum age: 15 years
- 🏆 Trophies for the top 3 male and female finishers
- 💶 Fee: €16 until 12 October (€24 after 13 October) + €0.50 fee
- ♿ Free entry for participants with disabilities
Children’s Races – New for 2025!
This year introduces non-competitive races for children aged 3 to 14, encouraging family participation and healthy habits from an early age.
All participants up to 14 years old will receive a commemorative T-shirt and medal (up to 1,500 units).
- 👶 Ages 3–4 → 10:30 a.m. (50 m)
- 👧 Ages 5–6 → 10:40 a.m. (100 m)
- 🧒 Ages 7–8 → 10:50 a.m. (300 m)
- 🧑 Ages 9–10 → 10:50 a.m. (300 m)
- 👦 Ages 11–12 → 11:05 a.m. (750 m)
- 👩 Ages 13–14 → 11:05 a.m. (750 m)
💶 Children up to 12 years old: free registration
Participants aged 13–14 must register under the “Popular Walk” category.
Popular Walk – 4 km
- ⏰ Start: 11:30 a.m.
- 🚶 One lap of the urban circuit
- 🌸 Non-competitive and open to everyone
- 💶 Fee: €8 until 12 October (€12 after 13 October) + €0.50 fee
- 👶 Free for children under 12
- ♿ Free entry for participants with disabilities

In-person registration:

🥇 Awards & Logistics
- 🥤 Refreshment points: at the start of the 2nd lap (Open Race) and after each event
- 🏆 Trophy ceremony: 10:15 a.m., at the finish line (before the children’s races)
- Winners must be present to receive their trophies.

The initiative is organised by the Spanish Association Against Cancer (AECC) with the support of the Consell de Mallorca, which also sponsors the children’s activities.
President Llorenç Galmés affirmed the Consell’s “commitment to health, solidarity, and promoting healthy living habits”, while Councillor Pedro Bestard highlighted the importance of “raising awareness and visibility around the disease.”
