Celebrating Mallorca’s traditions, culture, and heritage.
This year, the Consell de Mallorca presents UN NADAL BEN MALLORQUÍ, a festive programme rooted in the island’s most cherished traditions. At its heart is Mallorca’s unique craft of neules calades, declared Bé d’Interès Cultural Immaterial — an emblem of Mallorcan Christmas that fills streets, homes and churches with delicate hand-cut designs.
From 6 December to 5 January, the Centre Cultural La Misericòrdia becomes Mallorca’s festive hub, offering a rich programme of culture, music, heritage and family activities.
✨ 6 December – Opening Night at La Misericòrdia (18:00)

The official start of Christmas in Mallorca:
- Christmas Lights Switch-On
- Inauguration of the nativity scene
- Christmas carol concert by local choirs
- Traditional hot chocolate for all
⭐ Major Highlight:
The historic Betlem de la Sang returns after 10 years.
Recognised as the oldest nativity scene in Europe, it reappears with newly restored pieces:
• the cave
• the Virgin Mary
• Saint Joseph
• Baby Jesus
• six angels
A long-awaited moment for the island, allowing Mallorcans to reconnect with a central piece of their cultural heritage.

👼 10 December – Presentation of the restored Betlem de la Sang (19:00)
The first completed phase of the restoration, unveiled to the public.
🎭 13 December – Living Nativity Scene (17:00–21:00)
A charming betlem vivent in the gardens of La Misericòrdia.
🎶 Daily Concerts (6 Dec – early Jan)
Every day at 19:00 in the Patio de les Rentadores, plus special midday concerts like the Banda Municipal de Marratxí on 14 December.
