Sa Pobla turns up the heat with the second edition of Sa Pobla Coenta, the gastronomic fair dedicated to celebrating spice in Mallorcan cuisine and beyond.
After the success of last year’s debut, the fair returns with even more flavour, creativity, and community spirit.

What to Expect
From morning to night, Plaça Major will be alive with stalls, tastings, and entertainment:
- Spicy specialities from local bakers, farmers, and producers (think panades, sobrassada, fideus de marjal, spicy jams, ice creams & more)
- International spicy food tastings (Germany, Morocco, Senegal, Colombia, Brazil, Argentina, Chile, Uruguay…)
- Drinks stands with vermouth, wine, beer, mojitos & more
- Live music & DJ sets (including Gioele Brizio & Tamborers dels Dimonis d’Albopàs)
- Children’s activities, creative workshops, and caricatures by Bibi
The Big One: 🌶️ Campionat de Mallorca de Menjar Pebres Coents
At 20:30, the bravest can take on the Mallorca Hot Pepper Eating Championship. Round by round, competitors face hotter peppers, climbing the Scoville scale until only one champion remains. The winner qualifies directly for the Spanish Championship in Algemesí (Valencia) this October.
Extra Flavour All Weekend
From September 12–14, restaurants across Sa Pobla join the celebration with special spicy menus – from pizzas and burgers to tapas, seafood, and traditional Mallorcan dishes.
