Palma Christmas 2025: over 300 festive activities all across the city

From Friday 21 November 2025 to Tuesday 6 January 2026, Palma turns into a full-on Christmas city, with more than 300 activities spread across neighbourhoods, markets, theatres, libraries and major squares. The programme mixes tradition, culture, live music, family fun, shopping animation and sports, with options for all ages.

PalmaActiva, together with local business associations, launches a major Christmas campaign under the slogan “El comerç local il·lumina Nadal” with 138 activities between 21 Dec and 3 Jan 2026, including weekend and school-holiday mornings.

Expect:

  • Roaming entertainment in commercial areas (Cort, Born, Jaume III, Sant Miquel, Sindicat, Blanquerna, Nuredduna, markets, Can Pastilla, Son Ferriol, Son Rapinya–La Vileta, etc.):

    • Santa Claus with sleigh
    • Royal Pages (Patges Reials)
    • Àngels xancaires (stilt-walking angels)
    • Xarangues (brass bands)
    • Flashmobs in markets and busy shopping streets
  • Static family activities at key points like Plaça Santa Pagesa, Nuredduna, Plaça Mare de Déu de la Salut, La Rambla, Parc de les Estacions, Passeig del Born, Plaça de Cort, Plaça d’Espanya, Plaça Major and Son Rapinya–La Vileta:

🎹 “Piano a Ciutat” – Anyone Can Play

New this year: “Piano a Ciutat” — upright pianos placed in emblematic public spaces so anyone can sit down and play.

On different dates from 29 Nov through 27 Dec, in morning or afternoon sessions (typically 11:00–14:00 and 16:00/17:00–20:00), turning the city centre into an open-air piano lounge.


🎶 Choirs, Live Music & Street Performances

Choir concerts (Corals)

A series of 16 choir concerts fills Palma with carols and live music at emblematic spots such as Plaça de CortPasseig del BornPlaça de la Porta PintadaPlaça del MercatL’Hort del ReiCan Pastilla and Son Ferriol.

Xaranga & Flashmob

Throughout late November and December, xaranga bands and dance flashmobs bring music and movement to:

  • Carrer Sant Miquel, Sindicat & Plaça Major
  • Mercat de l’Olivar, Mercat de Santa Catalina, Mercat de Pere Garau
  • Passeig del Born, Jaume III & Bonaire
  • Plaça de Cort and surrounding streets

📚 Libraries, Storytelling & Workshops

Palma’s municipal libraries run a huge parallel programme from late November through the end of December:

  • Storytelling sessions (contacontes) and baby sessions for 0–3 years
  • Craft workshops: Christmas cards, pop-up greetings, elf-making, masks, origami, interactive stories
  • Literary talks and reading clubs for adults (Italo Calvino, Sara Mesa, James Herriot, George Orwell and more)

🏘 Neighbourhood Casals & Solidarity Initiatives

The Casals de Barri become small Christmas hubs:

  • Card exchanges and craft mornings
  • Christmas parties and xocolatades
  • Carol concerts, karaoke “Christmas Edition”, photo corners
  • Toy and food collections in favour of local charities (Somnis Reciclats, Fundació Tu Hada Madrina, Siloé, etc.)
  • Letter boxes for the Three Kings in several casals throughout December
