The Calendar's Note

Deborah Piña Zitrone, a native of Mallorca with French roots, is a specialist in traditional foods. Her background as a lawyer and sociologist and her experiences traveling the world have led her to a unique passion: fostering connection and communication through a shared love of food.

For three years, Deborah hosted The Pantry on IB3 TV, where she explored Mallorca’s culinary heritage, visiting every village to uncover local recipes, remedies, and stories. This journey deepened her appreciation for Mallorca’s gastronomic identity and strengthened her commitment to preserving these culinary traditions.

Now, at Forn de sa Llotgeta, an 18th-century bakery steeped in over 600 years of history, Deborah creates experiences that connect people with Mallorca’s traditions, sustainable food practices, and local artisans. Her workshops and culinary events throughout the year invite participants to celebrate Mallorca’s heritage, honor its local producers, and engage deeply with the island’s rich culture.
