The Calendar's Note

Asociación Cultural Vándalas was born from the union of several groups of friends who came together to share activities and create community. Since 2019, the non-profit association has organised over 100 cultural, social, and sports activities each year, all designed to foster connection and wellbeing.

Their mission is to combat loneliness, particularly among women over 30 — including those who may not follow traditional paths of marriage or motherhood, or who are living away from their home country. Through their events, Vándalas helps women build new social networks and a strong sense of belonging.

The organisation operates transparently and without profit, reinvesting any surplus funds into materials for activities or into helping women with limited resources — ensuring that no one is excluded for lack of clothing, books, or sports equipment.

Vándalas’ impact has been recognised nationally, having received an award for their research on the social and emotional benefits of belonging to a community network.
