As autumn deepens, Mallorca comes alive with two special days that mix festive fun with heartfelt tradition.

🎃🌺 Nit de les Ànimes & Tots Sants in Mallorca

🗓 31 October & 1 November 2025

The night of 31 October brings the lively Nit de les Ànimes (Night of Souls), now entwined with global Halloween celebrations, while 1 November marks Tots Sants (All Saints’ Day), a cherished moment of remembrance and family gathering.

Together they reflect the island’s unique blend of joy and respect – celebrating life and honouring those who came before.

🎃 31 October – Nit de les Ànimes / Halloween

On the eve of All Saints, Mallorca celebrates the Night of Souls, once centred on lighting candles and remembering the departed, now combined with modern Halloween customs.

  • Trick-or-treating and costumes for children 👻
  • Pumpkin carving and spooky decorations 🎃
  • Parties, parades, and themed events in towns and bars 🎶
  • Cultural touches that recall ancestral traditions ✨

It’s a night where Mallorcan heritage meets international Halloween, making it a vibrant occasion for families, kids, and partygoers alike.

🌺 1 November – Tots Sants (All Saints’ Day)

The following day is more solemn and deeply rooted in tradition. On Tots Sants, families across Mallorca:

  • Visit cemeteries, covering graves with colourful flowers 🌸
  • Share panellets (almond sweets) and rosaris ensucrats (sugar rosaries) 🍬
  • Gather for meals, reflecting on family ties and remembrance 🕯

This day transforms cemeteries into places of colour and community, honouring ancestors and keeping memory alive.

✨ Whether you’re here for the festive fun of 31 October or the reflective traditions of 1 November, these two days offer a window into Mallorca’s living culture: a balance of joy, remembrance, and community spirit.
