Coinciding with the Feast of Saint Martin, Palma Cathedral hosts the extraordinary “Festa de la Llum” (Festival of Light) – a breathtaking natural phenomenon where the rising sun passes through the great rose window, projecting a vivid burst of colour onto the opposite wall.

This rare alignment creates a perfect reflection of the rose window, formed by the 1,115 pieces of coloured glass that make up La Seu’s magnificent design. A moment of silence and wonder fills the cathedral as light and architecture merge into one luminous spectacle.
