Nit de l’Art 2025

Nit de l’Art is Palma’s Night of Art, Culture, and Community

Every September, Palma transforms into a living gallery for one magical night – Nit de l’Art. Since its first edition in 1997, this annual celebration has marked the opening of Mallorca’s artistic season, bringing together galleries, museums, institutions, and thousands of art lovers from across the island and beyond.

What started nearly three decades ago as an initiative by a small group of gallery owners has grown into a major cultural event that positions Palma on the international art map. Organized by Art Palma Contemporani, Nit de l’Art not only showcases exhibitions from renowned international artists but also celebrates emerging local talent, highlighting the vibrant and diverse contemporary art scene of the Balearics.

This Year’s Edition – 29th Nit de l’Art

On Saturday, 20 September 2025 (18:00–23:00), the streets of Palma’s historic centre will once again become the backdrop for art, culture, and creativity.

Highlights include:

  • 14 leading galleries (from ABA ART to Xavier Fiol) unveiling new exhibitions.
  • Major institutions like Es Baluard, Casal Solleric, Fundació Miró Mallorca, and CaixaForum Palma opening special shows for the season.
  • Collaborations with hotels including Sant Francesc HotelNivia Born Boutique Hotel, and Victoria Gran Meliá, which will host installations and exhibitions in unexpected spaces.
  • Special projects like Miquel Mesquida at ABA ARTFelipe Ehrenberg at Baró, and Fermín Jiménez Landa at Florit/Florit.
  • Open-air installations, guided tours, and performances, ensuring art spills out of galleries and into the streets.
  • Beyond Palma, the celebration extends across Mallorca and even to Menorca:
    • CCA Andratx with exhibitions by Kasper Eistrup, Blair Saxon-Hill, and Charlie Stein.
    • Galeria Maior in Pollença marking its 35th anniversary with La voluntat del paper.
    • Hauser & Wirth Menorca with solo shows by Cindy Sherman (The Women) and Mika Rottenberg (Vibrant Matter).

More than just an exhibition night, Nit de l’Art is a meeting point for artists, curators, collectors, and the public, offering a unique chance to experience contemporary art in an open, festive, and accessible way.

Why We Love It

The vibe during Nit de l’Art in Palma makes it one of our favourite nights of the year. We gather friends, map out which galleries and exhibitions to explore, and wander the historic streets together before ending the evening with dinner (reservation recommended!) and a glass of vino to debate our favourite pieces. It’s the perfect blend of art, culture, laughter, and good company – what more could you ask for?

Looking Ahead

Nit de l’Art is just the start of a vibrant season for Art Palma Contemporani, which also organizes the Art Palma Brunch (March) and Art Palma Summer (June).

And in 2026, APC will launch the first Mallorca Photofest (25 April – 30 August), a new biennial dedicated to photography, continuing its mission to push Mallorca forward as a hub for contemporary art in the Mediterranean.

✨ Whether you’re an art collector, a curious visitor, or just in for the atmosphere, Nit de l’Art is a night where Palma shines brightest.
