🕔 “5 en punto” means five o’clock sharp in Spanish — just like our five quick-fire questions. In this new series, we’re catching up with Mallorca’s movers, makers, and magic-bringers — one quick question at a time.
And who better to kick things off than the one and only Paco Colombàs? DJ, producer, father, CEO of @panela.productions and @wearedelaisla, one of the kindest humans in the scene and a true friend of The Calendar Mallorca since day one 💛!
1. What’s keeping you busy (and inspired) in Mallorca right now?
Right now, I’m super focused on finishing my own music — finally! I’ll be releasing a new track every month until September. I’m also collaborating with a music producer I really admire.
To find inspiration for writing lyrics, I head into nature — walking in Bellver Forest or trail running in the Tramuntana. Then I just stop, stare at the landscape… and the words come easy.
2. If Mallorca were a playlist, what would be your opening track — and why?

It’s from Mallorca, by my favourite band, and in mallorquín. This song is pure water — like diving deep into the ocean and floating around.
3. Is there a place, ritual, or local habit that always makes you feel connected to Mallorca?
DJing at Sa Fonda, watching Real Mallorca at the stadium, or walking through Palma Old Town past my grandfather’s house and my old school, Sant Francesc. That always brings me back.
4. It’s 5 o’clock somewhere… what’s your favourite way to unwind?
First thing: switch off my phone. After that, I just go with the flow — eating out with Mar, a board game, playing with my kids, or spinning some vinyl at Nacho’s secret club at his house (Garito style, of course).
5. What’s one event or moment you’re most looking forward to?
This Sunday, June the 15th, we’re putting on the official Mallorca Live Festival Closing Party at Balneario Illetas — it’s our third year in a row. I’ll be DJing after Pablo Fierro and closing the night! ✨
